Abstract

This study aims to determine the extent to which television advertising promotes
services and goods. Advertising discourse is non-linguistic, represented by facial
expressions in moving images on audiovisual media (Algerian television and private
channels), and how it influences the awareness of the recipient (the consumer) in order
to build a communication system between the promoter and the consumer for the
purpose of buying and selling.
This research paper focuses on an analysis of advertising images broadcast on Algerian
television and private channels, specifically for the dietary supplement "Acto Fibre,"
which is marketed for constipation and digestive health. The study aims to understand
the nature of this advertising discourse and its impact on consumer awareness, given
the powerful influence advertising images have on consumers and their ability to
communicate effectively with the audience.
