Abstract

In this paper, we discuss how to introduce students to the process of mathematical modeling while emphasizing its utility as an essential tool for this purpose. We propose a specific challenge aimed at university students based on a game called “Derivarius,” intended to reinforce the understanding of the definition and use of the derivative in professional applications.
