Abstract
Language is the one that expresses the constants of the nation and its entity. It shows the extent to
which it is related to its origin as it is not just a set of symbols and forms that indicate a certain meaning
only, but it is also an indicator of the existence of the nation in what distinguishes it from others. Therefore,
language expresses the history of the nation and the human heritage it possesses in order to live with it as
well as by it. It is the language in which the Quran has been revealed, and it is the word of God that is
characterized by perfection. It is the language of Islam by which Muslims worship their God, draw closer to
him, read their prayers and supplications. So, what are the challenges that faced Arabic throughout history,
and what is its recent situation in the Arab institutions? I have relied on history to mention its supporters
and opponents, highlighting its strength thanks to its supporters using Quran texts.
