Abstract

We chose the topic (Political Life in the City of Kannauj from the Fifth to the Ninth Century AH), in which we showed the most prominent Ghaznavid campaigns against the city of Kannauj and that this city continued its hostility to the Muslims for a long time, so no Arab force was able to control it directly due to its immunity and geographical location, as it was under the control of the Hindu kingdoms. Then we showed the dominance of the Ghurids over the city of Kannauj despite the many political divisions that these ruling states went through. The Ghurids penetrated into the land of India and were able to conquer many cities and impose their control over them.
