A Guidance Program for Sustainable Development by Reusing Environmental Waste and Making Housing Supplements

Abstract

The low level of knowledge of recycling housing supplements, which wastes a lot of the economy and resources of the family that pay to buy other new supplements, which negatively affects the resources and economy of the family, so it was necessary to raise awareness of the importance of recycling housing supplements and raise the level of knowledge for them, and to know the types that we are working on recycling of housing supplements, whether they are wooden, metal, glass, or plastic supplements, or fabrics.


The research aims to raise awareness and raise the level of knowledge for recycling housing supplements. And reduce the consumption of family economics. And designing different models for some housing supplements taking advantage of the available materials. And employing new materials in updating old supplements.and to learn about the guidance program and the basics of its construction in recycling wood, glass, metals, plastics and fabrics with housing supplements and protecting the environment from pollution. And in order to preserve grace.


This study was conducted on a sample consisting of (60) university students and the sample was taken from King Khalid University, College of Home Economics, and the choice was made by chance from the college. The most important results concluded that there are differences in the level of awareness of the sample before and the level of dimensional awareness in favor of the level of dimensional awareness. There are no differences in the level of pre- and post-awareness according to the area of residence, as the area of residence is not influential in bringing about change. There is a relationship between the level of education of the mother and the level of education of the father and the level of awareness of the student. It was found that the more the mother and father educated, the more aware their student daughter of recycling housing supplements. There are also differences in the level of dimensional awareness according to the level of income, which means that the higher the income, the higher the level of awareness of recycling. There is also an inverse correlation between the level of awareness of recycling and the number of brothers for the student, and this means that the more siblings, the lower the level of awareness of recycling.
